He was born in Bennettsville, SC on July 8, 1947.  In 1954 the family moved to Daytona Beach, FL.  Tom graduated from Mainland High School in 1965, followed by a career with the Florida Department of Transportation for 31 years.   Soon after, he began working for GAI Consultants until his retirement in 2015.  He also enjoyed 35 years of part time work for the Daytona International Speedway.  Tom was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, serving a term as Master of the Lodge and a longtime member of Sandhill Hunt Club.  He took great pleasure in the past times of hunting, golfing, camping, Gator football, travels to the Carolinas and Cades Cove, NASCAR and having been a little league coach always watched the Little League World Series.  The greatest pleasure and pride of Tom’s life was his family.  Time spent with them and for them was his greatest treasure.  Along with his unparalleled work ethic, love for his family and dear friends will be his greatest legacy.
