Obituary
Thomas J. Urquhart, 82, of Ocala, FL, passed away on November 12, 2020 at home under hospice care. Tom was born on January 30, 1938 to Jack and Elizabeth (Moriarty) Urquhart and raised in Rochester, NY where he graduated from Aquinas Institute. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from St. Bonaventure University and then served two years in the U.S. Army. Tom retired in 1993 from the NY State Department of Corrections after 28 years of employment in the Counseling Department where he also served as a supervisor. Tom lived in Attica, NY and Orchard Park, NY prior to moving to Ocala FL in 2007. Tom enjoyed playing golf and was graced over the years with three holes in one. His most recent hole in one occurred at Stone Creek Golf Club on his 82nd birthday. Another much loved pastime of Tom’s was horse racing. Tom is survived by his wife, Ann (Snyder); daughter, Colleen Kinz (Ronald); stepsons David Cicero (Marcia) and RJ Cicero (Claudia); and twin granddaughters, Megan Kinz and Erin Kinz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Montague); brother, Robert Urquhart (Judith); and sister, Ann Bowes (Robert). Tom and Ann very much appreciated the care received from Hospice. Tom was a member of Queen of Peace Church in Ocala where services will be held at a future date.
