Thomas Carl Mann, age 77, passed over on November 10, 2021, in The Villages Florida. He was born on October 6, 1944 to the late Everette P. Mann and Eleanor (Willey) Mann. He is predeceased by his brother, Sidney P. Mann and his granddaughter, Kaylie Mann, both of Nunda, NY.
He lived the majority of his life in Nunda, NY. After high school, he worked construction, then attended welding school. He was inducted into the US Army and was selected for the John F Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School in Fort Bragg, NC. He completed his training as a Green Beret and served 2 tours in Viet Nam from 1965-1968. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star for bravery. He started his own construction company then went on to become owner of many rental properties. He loved traveling with his wife, Susan, and eating good food and wine and of course playing pickleball. He worked hard and he played hard, enjoying all life had to offer. He left this world for the next, with no regrets.
Tom, lovingly known as Tiger, is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Lawson), of 33 years, and his children, Matthew (Mary) Mann, Melissa Mann, and Jennifer Mann Seiwell (Eugene), and his grandchildren, Aiden, Zachary, Spencer, Vincent, Craig, and Reese. They will miss his love, his passion for life and his drive to make things better for all of them. He will be missed by all his loving cousins, niece and nephew. He had many friends through this lifetime, who will remember him with much joy.
His life will be celebrated at the Nunda American Legion on May 27, 2022 at 11am. Family and friends are welcome to attend and there will be a luncheon immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Seager Warner American Legion Post 333.
You enriched my life with love. Raised me to be me I will never forget all the Talks we shared and the knowledge you gave.
If I could choose family you would have been high on the list. I will miss your many insights and humor but will cherish the memories.
