Obituary
Thomas F. White, age 75, died after a courageous battle with cancer on November 27, 2021 in Leesburg, Florida.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Dolores of Leesburg, FL; his son, Brian Nicolo and wife Harareet of Lebanon, ME; his daughter, Debra Donaldson and husband Larry of Rochester, NH; his son, Jeremie White and wife Denise of Rochester, NH; his daughter, Melissa Viel and husband Donald of Milton, NH; his sister in law, Elaine White; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Richard and Helen White, his sister, Marilyn Tucci, his sister, Patricia Doherty and brother, Richard White.
Thomas was born on January 4, 1946 in Boston, MA to parents, Richard and Helen White. Upon completing his education, Thomas served his country in the US Armed Forces. His working career spanned over 40 years in law enforcement. Including 25 years as a Police Sargent on the York Maine Police Department. After retiring from York Police Department, he served ten years as a Deputy Sheriff for the State of Maine.
Along with his wife Dolores, he owned several enterprises within York’s Wild Kingdom and storefront’s in York Beach, Maine. His family went camping for many years in Bridgton, Maine and the dream of owning a campground led to the purchase of Heavenlee Acres Campground in Lebanon, Maine.
After retiring from all of that, the couple moved to Leesburg, Florida to enjoy their retirement.
Thomas was a great family man, devoted husband and loving father. He was socially active and was deeply involved the Elks Lodge in York, Maine. He enjoyed being a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Masons and Lions Club. He was an avid fisherman and spent many hours alongside his several fishing friends in Pennbrooke Fairways in Leesburg, FL.
Family and friends will be invited to attend a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
