Obituary

Tom W Barnes died Tuesday, October 18, 2016.  He was born January 19, 1923 in McKees Port PA. He served in WW II in the US Marine Corps in the 2nd Division which toured the Marshall lslands, Guam and 0kinawa. He was a 32″ Degree Freemason. He came to New Smyrna Beach in 1956. He was a FHP trooper from 1956 – 1960. He worked for North American as a consultant for the 2nd stage of Saturn 5. He owned Barnes Motors up until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine. son, John, grandson. Robert and 2 sisters and a brother. He is survived by his daughters Dianne (Mike) Bell, Susan (Bob) Polizzi, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew Frank (Cindy) Barnes and niece, Jeanne (Kyle) Barnes whom he considered his own. He had a great love for animals, especially dogs. Life Celebration will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 26 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL 32169.
