Obituary

Tracie Nelson Yeager, 56, of Ormond Beach Fl, passed away January 20, 2024. Tracie was born in Washington DC, the daughter of Gary and Vickie Nelson. She was raised in Virginia and has been a resident of Florida since 2006.
Tracie worked at the Halifax Humane Society tending to the animals and working in the thrift shop. She was also a talented Artist. Some of her family’s favorite memories are the time she would sing and play the guitar with her father.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother Steven, two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her brother Steven shared these words:” With a heart full of love that today I lost my little but older sister Tracie Lea Yeager (Nelson). She was at times my best friend and as some of you know my biggest fan. She was always there for me when I needed her and even when I didn’t. She would be there at the drop of a hat as well as in a bar brawl. She loved her friends hard and her family harder, loved her animals almost to a fault. She would take care of her animals before taking care of herself. She was one of my best friends and even though we didn’t see each other much toward the end She was a “Rockstar” in my eyes. I will truly miss you sis.”
She will be missed by many.

Cousin Tracie, You will be dearly missed by many. You had an infectious smile and beautiful singing voice. I know that you and your father Gary are singing with the angels and sitting next to Aunt Vicki and uncle Nick & Aunt Pam and the rest of the Kosmas's and extended family and I am certain you are all looking down and laughing at those of us still here. You will always be with us in heart and spirit.
