Obituary
Trevor Carr, 61, of Fort Myers Shores, formerly of Delaware County, PA passed away peacefully in his home with Hope Hospice support and surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Trevor was truly a selfless man – always putting others ahead of himself. He will be sorely missed by many.
Trevor was born in England and came to the US with his family in 1965 and attended school in Newtown Square, PA. Trevor served in the US Navy where he was selected for SEAL training at Coronado. After leaving the military, Trevor became a roofing installer for many years learning different methods and he became well known as the “leak finder” with his employers. During the past few years, Trevor was a supervisor for Handyman Roofing of Clearwater – nothing made him happier than working long days and doing all he could for his amazing and supportive boss, Joe.
Trevor is survived by his loving partner, Jane Shindledecker, also of Fort Myers and by his mother, Olive Carr, of Exton, PA, his sister, Tracey Carr (James), of Royersford, PA, brother Rodger (Shannon) of Perry, FL and niece, Alicia Carr, of Drexel Hill, PA. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Carr.
Donations may be made in Trevor’s remembrance to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
Services will be private.
The world is now a different place without you
The respect and kindness he showed people on a daily basis reveal the kind of man that Trevor was. Just walking into a store, if you cross paths with Trevor, he would greet you with "Good Morning" and smile as he held the door for you. His smile would stay with you!! Trevor would be there yesterday if one of his friend's needed help with anything.
I know there are so many people who knew Trevor from Pennsylvania to Florida that he touch. I was so Blessed to have you in my life!! You were the Love of my Life and I am so thankful for that time with you. Rest easy Trev
