Trudy was born in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Oliver Mowat Clarkson and Edith Gertrude White and grew up with three older brothers – Gordon, Hill, and Jim. She attended Highland Park (Michigan) High School and Highland Park Junior College. In 1947, Trudy married Don Morgan and remained married to her love for over sixty-three years. Together, they had three children, Jeffery, Janet, and Anne. Trudy and her family moved more than twenty times throughout her life living in Michigan, Kansas, Virginia, Ohio, California, and Brazil until they arrived at the last stop in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. During her childhood, Trudy’s family often traveled back to Canada to the family’s roots in the Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario. Trudy continued this tradition with her husband and children at their cottage on Lake Muskoka. In her eighty-four years, Trudy made friends and maintained her friendships. Other than spending time with family and friends, Trudy enjoyed golf, swimming, water aerobics, ice hockey, tennis, sewing, politics, her puppy Charley, and living life to the fullest.
