Obituary

Our beloved Valerie Sue Wright, 49 passed suddenly at her home in Ft Myers, FL on May 24, 2020. She was born on February 14, 1971 in Connecticut and later moved to Ft Myers, FL.

She is the daughter of the late Thomas Wright, and survived by her Mother Linda Baratier, her sister, Patti (Wright) Friedman, Jan Friedman(brother-in-law) and Maya Friedman (niece), her beloved children Kyle Wright, Faith Wright and Stephen Wright and long time love Stephen Mastroianni, Step mother Donna Wright, and brothers Chris Devins and Patrick Devins. 

Valerie was a nurse who had a special gift with the elderly. She provided care and humor to the lives of many in nursing homes and assisted living facilities in South Florida. There will be a private service and burial in her hometown of Clifton Park, New York.

    I'm in shock. Val was my best friend growing up. I just found this out by searching for her. We usually text. My text over the past 2 years got unanswered. I've been worried. Now I know why. We had many late night hour long texts & conversations over the yeard. I always missed her being close by. She was a true friend. She had a huge heart & lots of love to give, esp. to her kids. I wanted her to move back to NY. She wanted me to move to FL. I will always keep my friend close to my heart & miss you always. Valentine's day will never be the same. I send my conference to her family. My heart breaks for you all. I'm heartbroken.

    I’m so sorry to hear this news. You were dedicated to your nursing field and loved talking about your children.
    I always enjoyed our conversations and comforted me through a few bumps in the road, as I assisted you also.

    My heart and prayers go out to her whole family. I am very saddened to have just learned of her passing. I knew Val very well in our young childhood years and throughout high school. Those are some good memories and she will be missed.
