We lost a true Friend and will never forget the fantastic times spent together as next door neighbors. Vern challenged everything with thought and compassion. When he was outside he would send a text ''can you come out and play'' that led to many great conversation As we pass through life we meet many people some remain and some go. Those that remain are true Friends and we can say that Vern was a Friend. He will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever.

We are broken hearted to hear of Verns passing. He was always a symbol of courage and strength to Paul. Paul always said, "hey, if Vern is out there than I'm going out". Paul always, always enjoyed playing poker or gin with Vern and he enjoyed losing to him as well. Being a Navy man as well, they both had allot in common. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Haide and his entire family. Our prayers will always be with you. Paul and Kathy George
