Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that Veronica passed away to be with the Lord on July 24, 2022.

She had a heart of gold with a sense of humor beyond compare. A ton of sassiness made her the unique woman she was. Just ask anyone who may have known her.

Veronica had a love for old country music and playing bingo. It was with great pleasure to see her open cards sent to her that contained cash. Her Grandson Keith knew how much joy that gave her and frequently made sure she opened several of those cards throughout the year. That was special bingo money and 90% of the time, she would win on that surprise cash.

She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit Nashville, which was her dream vacation, many years ago and took several cruises with family and friends with the Island of Bermuda being her favorite. Veronica had lived in Rhode Island for 80 years before moving to Florida with her daughter Debra 2 years ago whom she had lived with for the past 20 years.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Delia (Mainville) Bernard, her siblings Arleen Pearson, Theresa King, Lorraine Fletcher, Gloria D’silva, Paul, Arthur, Louis, Joseph and Raymond Bernard that were called to heaven.

She wis survived by her sons Kenneth Bernard of Nevada, Mark McDaniel of Rhode Island and Debra Andersen of Florida grandchildren Keith and Kenneth Bernard, Crystal Coombs and several great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

May our loving, sweet, kind “Nana” forever rest in peace. May she rise above the heavens with her Angel Wings and always help, protect and guide the ones she left behind. Our hearts are truly broken. For those who share in memories of her they will last our lifetimes. Cheers to a life well-lived. We loved you, Nana.
