Always wished to look "presentable" with makeup and her hair in place. Kept her mind sharp by solving crossword, cyptograms and sudoku puzzles in the daily newspaper. Loved to play cards and mijong. Became more special to me after both Harold and my dad passed away. Loved to have Chinese food and eat at Olive Gardens. When we came in October at my teacher convention time, she fixed a special meal like wild rice or corned beef dinner. Always an eye for details on the inside but a warmth of spirit on the inside. A very special Aunt.

When Mom and I talked of death, I'd try to encourage her to be strong and carry the cross God had given her. She'd reply . . . I' m ready right now and I just hope I die at night in my sleep. Well, God answered that prayer and we, her children, look on it as a blessing. She was a strong lady. She was successful in life. I'm quite certain she's now glad to see Dad again in heaven after 22 years of being apart.
