Obituary
Dolly Curll, 80, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on December 28, 2024, after a brief illness.
She was born on July 3, 1944, in Silver Creek, New York to late Stanley Gizowski Sr. and Ann Mae Rounds Gizowski.
Dolly grew up in Arkwright, New York and graduated from Forestville Central School in 1962. She married David G. “Jerry” Curll on September 28, 1990. Dolly retired as an Assistant Director for Human Resources from Fredonia State University in 1996 and then moved to Leesburg, Florida where she enjoyed her retirement years.
Dolly was a kind, caring, and loving person that enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, traveling all over the world, swimming, going out to dinner, and hosting and cooking for family meals, especially during holidays, where no one ever left hungry.
Dolly is survived by her sister Diantha (Warren) Wolfe, brother Alex (Carol) Gizowski, her three children, son Jeffrey (Annie) Huyck, daughter Tracy (George) Lowry, and son Jon-Paul (Stephanie) Huyck, her two stepchildren, stepdaughter Cathryn (John) Embleton, stepson Timothy (Con) Curll, nine grandchildren, Erika Huyck, Alexa White, Nicholas Huyck, Andrew White, Jaycie Huyck, Samantha Huyck, Cameron Marshall, Emily Curll, and Ethan Curll, four great-grandchildren Maxwell Smith, Vivian Smith, Hazel Huyck, and Max Marshall, and her two cats Missy and Pookie.
Dolly was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Gizowski Jr., and husband David G. “Jerry” Curll.
Dolly was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Leesburg, Florida.
Dolly will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who know her. May she rest in peace.
