Obituary

Victor Kowal, of Palm Coast, FL, at 68 years of age, was escorted to his eternal home by His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2021.  He was cared for by his loving, adoring wife, Amanda at their home in Florida under the wonderful help of Hospice.  He had an unexpected battle with cancer of the liver & pancreas, and God was merciful and took him home.

Victor was well known as an artist in St. Augustine, Florida where he had a gallery before retiring.  Many of his works are all over the country as well as overseas as visitors took his works with them.  He was talented in many areas in addition to his art, including playing the guitar, writing Christian music, singing of all types of music, and carpentry of any kind.  He loved the natural world, exploring forest, oceans, wildlife, fresh air and sunshine, and the many natural gifts of God were included in many of his oil paintings.  He really enjoyed tennis and bike riding, jogging, and walking on the beach.  His wife loved him for his wonderful, unconditional love, his voice, and kindness and he was her best friend and soul mate.  He is missed oh so much by her, and all who know him.

Victor is survived by his wife, Amanda, his sister, Olga and her husband Larry, his nephew James and his wife Jinjin and their son, Alex, and cousin Walter and family.

There will be a memorial service and celebration of his life at First Baptist Church of Palm Coast, 6050 Palm Coast, Parkway NW, Palm Coast, FL 32137 on Friday, May 14th, 11:00 a.m.

Any gifts or contributions are requested to be made to First Baptist Palm Coast benevolence fund in his behalf.

I just saw that Victor has passed. What a talent and a great guy. Easily one of our favorite artists. Fell in love with his art immediately. But then we met him and realized what a great guy he was. He left us way too soon.

I am so sorry to see this. I was looking for more of his pictures when I came across this. I am honestly in disbelief. I used to talk to Victor every time when I came to St. Augustine in front of his store while he painted. May the Lord bless his sole. The world lost a great man.

Victor was one of my husband's and my favorite artist. My husband was an artist, himself. I still feel sad when I think that Victor is gone. .because he made quite an impression on us when we met him and St augustine. It was the brief time. When we were dating before we were married and I got my husband a painting of the Tree of Life. My husband told Victor he was one of the best artists he had ever seen and we were both struck by what a gentle soul he seemed to be. It's sad to me that he is gone but I'm so happy that I'll see him again someday. It's so good to hear he is a believer.

I am so sad for this loss. My family would stop and talk to Victor while he was working on his paintings on St George St. He was an incredible artist, and a really wonderful person. We will miss him dearly

    Amanda

I just heard about Victor’s passing into heaven. I am so sorry to hear this news. Kathy always called him a gentle giant. He had such a beautiful spirit. I can see him in heaven talking with Kathy about art.

You will be in my prayers.
    With love in Christ,

    Pat Hynes

My husband and I were just thinking of Victor, tonight, as were were discussing a beautiful print we have of his (The Tree of Life). We love his art.

I was so sad on hearing of his passing. We associate Victor with St Augustine and somehow always thought he would be there when we were returned. I'm so glad to hear he was a Christian and we will see him again on streets of gold.

As a visiting nurse for his mom, I had several conversations with him as well as him showing me a lot of his beautiful artwork. He was truly gifted, a pleasant and happy spirit. I am saddened to hear of his passing. It appears to me by the obituary that his mom has also passed. She was a very nice lady and I was always happy to care for her.

Amanda no words can ever express to you how deeply sorrow I am that for now you will not have the love of your life by your side. You were so perfect for each other. Victor knew you were the one from the beginning and so did you. He was a beautiful man inside and out. He was a loving husband no better and wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin and brother-in-law. He always wanted to explore and but on canvas the beauty of God’s creations! He is now in the glorious sight of his Lord and Savior and is awaiting the day that his beautiful wife, my sister Amanda will join him. He will always be loved and missed until the day we can all join him in heaven! I love you Victor from your sister-in-law Margaret.
