Obituary

Vincent Thomas Rogan, age 74 of Summerfield, FL passed away on Monday, December 21st, 2015 while in the care of Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield. He was born in the Highbridge section of the Bronx, NY on July 15, 1941. Vinnie served in the US Army from 1961-1963 stationed in Germany European Theater, Seventh Army. He was honorably discharged in 1967. He moved to Congers, NY and lived there for over 35 years. He worked for S. J.

O’Brien from 1963 to 1976; he then worked for Ingersoll Rand/ARO for 25 years as a district manager of sales for the east coast. He was also a member of Congers Volunteer Ambulance Corp. and the Knights of Columbus. He moved to FL in 2005 where he met his current wife. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret, four brothers John, James, Peter and Joseph and his wife of 38 years Rose Rogan.  He leaves behind his wife Lesley Rogan of Summerfield, FL and her family,  his daughter Kimberly Steiner of Castle Rock, CO and her husband Christopher and three granddaughters; Geraldine, Colleen, Kathryn and one grandson CJ, many relatives, his lifelong friend John McDougall of Summerfield and his faithful kitty Lucky Boy. Vinnie will always be remembered for his big caring heart, he was always helping someone in some way, whether it be fixing things or helping someone who was sick. This is proven by his dedication to Brother’s Keeper soup kitchen where he has volunteered for years. Vinnie had a great sense of humor and was a very generous man and will be missed terribly. A Memorial Mass will be said at Blessed Trinity Church Ocala, FL on January 16th, 2016 at 12:00pm with a bereavement reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made

Another Memorial Mass will be said at a later date at Saint Paul’s Church Congers, NY after which he will be interred in his plot at Gethsemane Cemetery.
