Obituary

Always in our hearts, Virginia Jones

Virginia Jones passed on December 20th of 2020. Born Virginia Blake on April 12th, 1949, she was the middle of eight children. She was born to late father Elwood Blake and late mother Myrtle Clark in Durham, North Carolina, where the family continued to grow after Virginia’s birth and be in the love of the Lord.

Virginia spent her childhood in North Carolina, later moving to Holly Hill, FL where she finished high school at Mainland High School.

Whilst living in Holly Hill she met the man whom she’d marry. Jimmie Jones and Virginia Jones spent many years in love, and through love and God they gave birth to four children. Virginia was a loving stay at home mother for her children in their young years. Living in Apopka, FL, Virginia and her family were devoted members of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic church. Virginia’s faith was a big part of her life and she held it very close to her heart.

One son precedes her return home to the Lord, her baby boy Michael Jones. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Jennifer Jones of Pinellas County, FL, daughter Valerie Orr (Jerome) of Douglasville, GA and her son Gerald Jones of Sarasota, FL. Of her children she was given five grandchildren who she loved to pieces, Ashley Hall, Giovanti Lugo, Anthony Lugo, Olivia Orr and Oreigha Orr, some of whom granted great-grandchildren to Virginia, adding more love into her life.

These people hold dear memories of Virginia, of how loving and God fearing she was. She will rest in love and peace with the love that we give back to her.

You will forever be in my heart and memories Grandma. I am not even going to start to try to name all of the good things you have done for Me, My Children, and Other People, because the list would never end. You were an angel here on earth, and now you are an angel along with Mikey. I know you are no longer suffering and I feel you are at peace. I love you with every ounce of every fiber in my being, and it'll never be goodbye Grandma, just see you later. I love you forever. Ashley.
