Obituary
Virginia” Ginny” Owens Sisk, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2016 at Halifax Hospice Care in Edgewater, FL.
Ginny was born on June 18, 1921 in Terra Haute.IN to Harry and Dora Dobson. She worked as a seamstress and waitress at the original What-a-Burger and Leon’s Restaurant. She was the last surviving of 10 siblings. She was a wonderful, loving, caring Mom and Gran to her family. She never met a stranger. Ginny loved to sing and play her accordion in church and tell others about Jesus. She also enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family.
She was perceived in death by parents Harry and Dora Quarterman Dobson, two brothers, seven sisters, two husbands, Irvan Owens Sr. and Earl Sisk, son Ronald Joseph, four daughters, Donna Miller, Gloria Jean Graham, Darlene and Marlene Owens, one step grandson I.D. Miller Jr.
She is survived by 3 sons lrvan Owens Jr. (Judy), Marvin Owens (Ingrid), Paul Owens (Pam) all of New Smyrna Beach, one daughter Cynthia Owens (Darryl) of Knoxville, TN, 5 grandsons Philip Graham of Crossville, Tn. Travis Owens (Kristin), Joey Owens (Kandice) of New Smyrna Beach, Adam Owens(Marina) of Pleasant Hill, TN, Chad Owens (Angela) of Port Orange,Fl. 1 granddaughter Erin Owens Oldham (Calvin) of Edgewater, FL , 9 great grandchildren who were Precious to her, Hunter, Saige, Payton, Reaghan, Natalie, Jaden, Ty, Connor and Harper, 3 step granddaughters Eva Smith of Ocala, FL, Kathy Miller and Myrtice Meierstein of Edgewater, FL, 14 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special Thanks to Bennj and all the staff of Regency Elderly Care for your Amazing Love and care for Our Mom and Gran. She will be deeply missed by all. We will see you again Mom .
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16 from 6 to 8 PM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL with a Life Celebration on Wednesday at 11:00. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery.
