> On May 31, 2017, at the age of 85, Jesus said to Wally, “Come, my child, and enter into your Heavenly Home”.Wally was born on May 7, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wilfred Mark Cahill and Pearl Elizabeth Boughtflower. His first wife of 45 years, Dorothy Phillips Cahill, predeceased him in 2003. Survivors from this marriage include: Kerry D. Cahill of Madison Heights, MI; Mark E. Cahill (Kim) of Pace, FL; Lori Cahill Wozniak of Northville, MI; Lynn Cahill Szymkowski (John) of Royal Oak, MI; Julie Cahill Frauenheim (David) of Northville, MI; Jill Cahill Ahmed (David) of Chicago, IL and an ex-son-in-law, Mark Wozniak of Livonia,ex son-in-law, James fish of Royal Oak,Mi. Survivors also include second wife, Arminta F. Cahill, of Leesburg FL and two step-children –Phillip Fretwell (Priscilla) of Oviedo FL and Cindy F. Ketchum (Bob) of Orlando FL. In addition to this list, he leaves many grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many step-grandchildren who all loved him dearly. Family also includes sister, Ellenore Jordan (Dan) of Sarasota FL and Pat and Karen Smith of The Plantation in Leesburg FL. He graduated from high school and entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and served until 1954 during the Korean War. He was a self-taught “tool and die” professional. He worked for Ford Motor Company as well as many other companies during his life. He was talented in repairing about anything in a home — even making flower arrangements for his wife. He was a very personal guy and well liked by residents of The Plantation of Leesburg FL where he and Arminta lived for over 11 years. He was of the Protestant faith–embracing Lutheran and Methodist churches and a member of the United Methodist Church of Wildwood FL.A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1350 E. Burleigh Blvd Tavares, FL 32778. A viewing will follow the service until 7:00 pm.
> A burial service will be held at his grave site in The Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, Livonia MI on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
