Walter Alan Gregg …
…fell asleep in death Tuesday October 14, 2025. He was born September 6, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. Wally and his bride Pat were married for over 62 years. (Pat died in 2014)
Most of his secular career was at ERICO in Solon, Ohio 1968-1998 before retiring to Summerfield Florida. Wally was the company metallographer, photographer, field product instructor R&D engineering support, etc. As lifelong COMPETITIVE sports enthusiast, he organized company golf, tennis & racquetball league activities only to usually win most of the events. He took up pickleball in retirement…with similar results.
Wally and Pat were modest “socialites” in the Del Webb community going to dances at least once a month cutting a rug: swing, country, jitterbug, etc. Wally was on the entertainment committee and would emcee. He also spent a few years on the community channel.
He has been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 50 years and was an active member of the East Bellevue Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He worked hard to apply Matthew 7:12 & Colossians 3:12. Wally read the Bible daily and hoped others would benefit themselves too by directing them to JW.org. Wally knew how to smile, laugh and stay upbeat to positively affect others.
He is survived by his brother Bob Gregg Lady Lake, FL and sister Donna Marous, Jefferson, OH; sons Phil (Paula), Broadview Heights, OH, Barry (Melanie), Surprise, AZ, Derek (Urszula), Seven Hills, OH; daughters Lisa Cucuzza, Virginia Beach, VA, Julie (John) Kandra Elyria, OH, Nicole, Sedona AZ; grandchildren Jason Smith Virginia Beach, VA, Zepplin Stark, St. Louis MO, Corey (Tammy), Lakewood, OH, Haley (Nathan) Maynard, Northfield, OH, Kyle, Alexandria, VA, Tessa (Ryan) Bulkoski, Draper, UT, Trevor (Sara), Buckeye, AZ, Cody (Yesi), Carbondale, IL; great-grandchildren, Evie (Kole), Cooper, Piper, Xander, Brock and Emmy.
