Obituary
Senior Master Sergeant Walter Lambert, 78, died in Titusville, Florida on Saturday, November7th, 2020 after a short illness. Mr. Lambert is survived by Nancy, his wife of 34 years whom he adored, a loving sister Marilyn Fongeallaz, and four devoted children; Lynne Farrell and husband Mark, Eric Lambert and wife Joyce, Mara Hayes and partner Brian, and Neil Lambert and fiancé Kimberly. He leaves behind five grandchildren: Michael Lambert and wife Amanda, Chelsea Savery and husband Patrick, Erin Lambert and husband Adam, Kayla Farrell and fiancée Stephen, and Kieran Fiacco. Healso leaves behind four great grandchildren: Mason Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Claire Savery and McKenna Lambert. Walter grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts, son of the late Stanley and Gertrude Lambert. Heis a veteran of the Vietnam War and achieved the level of Senior Master Sergeant through his career as a civil servant of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He also served briefly as a police officer for the Town of Halifax, Massachusetts. Walter served six years with distinction in the Air Force including his time in Vietnam. He carried the discipline and patriotism he learned in the Air Force through his entire life, as his family and friends will attest. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Patriots and Red Sox. He loved travel, golf, boating, fishing, scuba diving, and camping. Walter’s time with his family and friends was invaluable and a deep source of joy. He also loved the companionship of his two dogs, Augie and Sholo. Private services will be held on Monday, November 16th, 2020 at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
