Obituary
Edgewater, FL – Mr. Wayne Douglas King, of Edgewater, FL, died quietly in his home on May 28th, 2016 at the age of 68.
Wayne was born on June 12th, 1948 in Newport, Rhode Island. His parents, Melvin and Katheryn King, moved Wayne to Bloomsburg, PA when he was 3 years old. Wayne received his associate’s degree in accounting at Wilkes-Barre University. On March 27th, 1971 Wayne married Sue, a beautician and resident of Bloomsburg.
In 1977, Wayne moved his family to Bristol, Indiana where he managed a manufacturing facility for Alumax Corporation. After working for Alumax, Wayne took the opportunity to start and run a series of successful businesses. His last venture was Bandwagon Video Productions. He was a talented videographer and enjoyed providing lasting memories for those that rightfully placed their trust in him. He not only took pride in his work, but truly valued the friends he made during his time in business.
Most recently, Wayne and his wife moved to Edgewater, Florida. He quickly made many new friends there and was active in the community.
Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and especially photography. He also spent time volunteering for the Elkhart Civic Theater with his wife.
Wayne will be lovingly missed by his wife of 45 years, Sue (Fenstermacher) King; his son, Douglas Allen; two grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers and many close friends.
At Wayne’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests sending a donation to the Elkhart Civic Theater.
