In Loving Memory of Wendee Lynn Windsor
Wendee Lynn Windsor, a cherished mother, Yaya, and seasoned military child, graced the world with her presence on April 19, 1957, in Tucson, AZ. She peacefully departed this life on November 26, 2023, in Tavares, FL, under the gentle care of her daughter, Catherine Thomas. Wendee left behind a legacy defined by warmth, love, and an unwaveringly open mind.
Born into a life of constant movement as a military child, Wendee cultivated a global perspective, embracing diverse cultures and forming connections with people from all walks of life. Yet, amid her worldly experiences, she remained anchored in love and carried that love into her roles as a devoted mother, Yaya, and a compassionate registered nurse.
Wendee dedicated over four decades of her life to nursing, contributing her skills and kindness to multiple hospitals and Lake County Schools. Her commitment to the well-being of others left an indelible mark, and she touched the lives of countless people, students, and colleagues with grace and care.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Wendee’s love for flowers was as vibrant as the blossoms she cherished. The family welcomes any floral tributes in her memory, a fitting tribute to her passion for the beauty of nature.
Wendee now reunites in heavenly joy with her mother, Bettie Lou Windsor, her brother, John Windsor, and her dear friend, Debbie Kerkes.
Left to cherish her memory are her father, Maj. John F Windsor, USAF, retired, her sister, Kendel Windsor, her daughter, Catherine Thomas, her sons, Jaryd Marles and Logan Marles, and her grandchildren, Finn and Bronwyn Thomas, and Isaiah Marles.
A memorial celebration honoring Wendee’s extraordinary life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, 1617 S Bay St., Eustis, FL 32726, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Friends, family, and well-wishers are warmly invited to join in commemorating the beautiful life of Wendee Lynn Windsor.
