Wilfred Rosario Chouinard, 88, of Ocklawaha, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was born in Southbridge, Massachusetts to Roland and Dora Chouinard, and has lived in the Ocala area since 1994.
He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was the recipient of 2 purple hearts and a certificate.
He was a painter and enjoyed his ham radio times (K1JU), CB radio operating, dining out, and time with his children.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Theresa Chouinard of Ocklawaha, daughter Brenda Faford of Ocklawaha, son Kenneth Chouinard of Ocklawaha, daughter Linda Desaulniers of Southbridge, MA, son Richard Chouinard of Charlton, MA, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Johanne and Rolanne.
He was predeceased by his brother Roger, and sister Georgette.
Calling hours at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home on Silver Springs Blvd will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 2-4pm.
Wilfred will be cremated, then laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with Army military honors on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
