Wilfredo “Willy” Del Valle of Daytona Beach, Florida was 33 years old when he passed unexpectedly on May 2, 2023. He is survived by his parents Wilfredo and Theresa Marrero, son Alexander “Alex” Wilfredo Del Valle (mother Gloria Burnup), sister Bianca Marrero, brother Mathew Marrero, sister Megen Marrero, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death is his grandmother Aurora Nieves.

Willy was born July 4, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York.  He grew up in New York and then moved to Daytona Beach to be with family.  Willy was a free spirit that loved his son above all, loved nature and to travel the states.  He traveled from the west coast, California, Arizona to the east coast of Florida, Keys to New York and back.  His favorite travel experience was hiking the Appalachian Trail.  He was a bright person that would light up the room, has the biggest heart and brightest smile.  He was an aspiring tattoo artist who loved to skateboard and surf.  He was a father, a son, a brother and a friend to everyone he met.

Anyone who knew Willy was touched by his kindness, humor and his selflessness.  He was alway willing to help and knew when you needed a hug.  He believed it was important to Pay It Forward.  Willy did just this – his final gift of giving.  He gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.  His 7 organs have restored life’s promise for the 6 recipients and their families.  Honoring his generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through his organ and tissue donation.

“In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still.  In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill.  It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.  For part of us went with you, until you come back home.” Author Unknown

Your memory lives within us, forever in our heart, we will miss you more than words can say.
