Then he became principal at the new Marshall Elementary school in Oxford until retiring after 30 years in education in 1996. After moving to Florida in 1998, he enjoyed teaching at several Christian schools.

Bill was Pastor of the Timberhill Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio from 1984-1996 and was a long-time member of Colonial Baptist Church in Venice, Florida.

Bill loved his country, his church, his family and many friends, but most of all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All who knew Bill was touched by his kindness, love, giving and charitable heart. Bill faithfully served the churches where the Lord directed him and did exactly what the Lord had planned for him and he will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held later in Hamilton, Ohio and in Venice, Florida.
