Obituary

William F Burgard, 86, passed away at home while in Hospice care.

Bill was born & raised in Buffalo NY. He raised his children in the Cheektowaga area with his then wife, Marilyn.  Later while living in Williamsville, he would frequently be seen helping in our community or while walking, picking up trash and trimming along the path to the park on Hopkins Rd.

He was a Civil Engineer by profession working in the Construction industry, and a Veteran of the Army Reserves.

He worked on the Niagara Power Project back in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s and later worked for Buffalo Crushed Stone/ABC Paving companies until retirement.

Besides his home in Williamsville, he spent the last 22 years wintering at their 2nd home in Punta Gorda, FL.  He loved boating, fishing & scuba diving. In FL he enjoyed an active social life which included boating, fishing, biking, golf & Horseshoes. It must be noted that most activities ended either at a restaurant for food & drink or at a favorite ice cream shop.
