Obituary

William (Bill) T Burnell, 75, Fort Myers, Fl passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Hope Hospice Community House in Lehigh Florida after a brief illness. He was born February 19, 1948, in Nashua, NH to Walter and Ruth (Foster) Burnell.

Bill Graduated from North Yarmouth Academy, Maine before going on to Nashua Community College in New Hampshire.

He resided in New Hampshire until retirement when he moved to warmer weather in Fort Meyers Florida. His career started with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission before moving on to Bellevance Beverage until retirement.

Bill was a member of Nashua Country Club. If you asked Bill what his biggest accomplishment was, he would say his golf swing. He was an avid golfer traveling wherever there was a tournament, including as far away as Scotland.

Being in sales, Bill had many lifelong friends.

William is survived by his brother David and his wife Karen, his niece Heather and her daughter Avery and his nephew Timothy and his wife Rachael and daughter Bristol all of Hudson.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ruth (Foster) Burnell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of William Tracey Burnell are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.

There will be no services. A celebration of life will take place in New Hampshire in the late spring.

    Billy and I have been friends since our childhood in Hudson, NH. I have so many great memories of our times together. He was a true friend and a wonderful man. He loved sports especially golf and enjoyed fishing as well. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
