William C. Rohe, known to his friends as Bill, departed his loving family on April 12th, 2022, joining his late wife Lidia D. Rohe, who passed away on March 24th, 2022.
Bill was born in New York City on August 10th 1931, to Helen and William E. Rohe.
Bill showed an early interest in tinkering and fixing or building things with his hands. He pursued a technical program at Brooklyn Technical High School where he graduated with honors. He enlisted as a Reservist with the National Guard and received an honorable discharge in 1954. He began a career in manufacturing as an engineer and later married Sally Theresa Drew in 1965 and settled on Long Island in New York. For many years he was beloved by Sally’s family, including their nieces and nephews.
Sally passed away in 1989. In 1990, he met Lidia D. Zieba, and they married 3 months later in September. They retired to Florida several years later and spent much of their nearly 32 years together enjoying family, friends, entertaining, travel and being together.
Bill adopted Lidia’s daughter Anita following their marriage. He was an amazing father and a beloved grandfather to grandkids Ryan and Lauren, always willing to play, read, go for a walk, and offer his affection and support.
He is survived by daughter Anita Graham, son-in-law Gary Graham, and grandchildren Ryan and Lauren.
In accordance with his wishes, Bill will be cremated, with a memorial service for both Bill and wife Lidia to be held on May 21, 2022 at 1pm EST, at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society Timber Ridge Chapel, 11250 SW 93rd Ct.
