Obituary
William D. Holman, age 79, passed away on February 7, 2023.He was born in Chicago on August 9, 1943
He is preceded in death by his parents Hildur and Alfred Holman, and his brother David Holman.
Bill passed away peacefully under the care of The Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, FL.
Bill leaves behind his wife Patricia of 52 years, daughter Rose (Donald), daughter Christina, granddaughter Sarah, grandson Ryan (Reagan), brother Richard (Catherine), nieces and nephews Kimberly (John), Jennifer, Christopher (Renee), April (Doug), Lauralynn, Darryl, Mary Ann and Robert.
Bill worked as a photographer for The Chicago Park District and then as a Chicago Police officer for 26 years. Upon retirement he moved to Yorkville, Ill. a small town near Chicago and joined their police department as a part time employee for an additional 7 years retiring to The Villages, FL in 2003. Bill became an avid golfer, playing golf at every opportunity especially with his long time golf group and dinners out with friends. His hobbies were photography and golf. Bill was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL. He loved all animals especially his 6 cats and 4 dogs who all but one have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Bill was a quiet, kind and loving father and husband. He will truly be missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Memorial service at Christ Lutheran Church, 15699 SE 80th Ave.,Summerfield, FL. at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 24, 2023
