Obituary

William “Bill” S. Eddy, 80, of Fort Myers, passed away February 14, 2019 at home. Born June 28, 1938, in White Plains, NY., he was the son of William S. Eddy and Arlene Halstead. Bill worked as a sales person for a fine clothier prior to his retirement. He is survived by his spouse Donald J. Stewart. Additional announcement information is forthcoming.     My family always enjoyed our times with Bill. He was a neighbor of my parents. Bill was a great guy and was a great neighbor. Our deepest condolences to Don and his family.

    Bill going to miss you at Ft Myers Beach always had a great time with you and Don. Enjoyed are visits to the dog track and once the kids were of age an a occasional bar stop. Will always think of you sitting by the pool with a drink in your hand.

    We will miss you Bill From the first day I met you I knew we would become friends we both had a particular way of looking at things and to a large degree are paths were similar, You will always be a part of who I am today and how I don't have to take the things in life so series and of course with a sense of humour! Thank you for that... Both you and Don worked as mentors to me and Chad to our introduction to horticulture and will never forget the guidance you gave us Goodbye Bill with Love Chad and Larry

    Words cannot express the sadness we felt as we learned of Bill's sudden passing. Our times together we're always memorable, especially all those sunsets on the beach. Bill was a "fabulous" special person with a bigger than life personality. Janet & I and your entire Chicago family shares in this loss.
