Obituary

William Ellis Welch, 26, passed away on August 21, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. William was born on July 01, 1987 in Daytona Beach, FL at Halifax Hospital. He was the second child and first son of William Welch and Amy Turner. William spent most of his time in New Smyrna Beach and was a kitchen manager at Barracudas Bar and Grille. He worked out at the gym on a regular basis to stay in shape and keep himself healthy, he enjoyed spending time out on the town with his friends, spoiling his niece Ava his “bug”, and always spent tremendous time and every holiday with his family. Will was a great son, a great brother, the best uncle, and friend anyone could ask for, he cared about others genuinely and lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. William always lived each day by day and never thought about tomorrow, he had a great spirit and always wanted to have fun and be free, he once said “Always do what you want and you will never be un-happy”. William leaves to cherish his memory, father William Welch; step mother Robyn Welch; mother Amy Turner; sisters Ashley Contos, Patricia Washington, and Jenna Welch, brothers-in-law Michael Contos and Albert Washington, III  ; grand- mother Shirley Crays, niece Ava ”bug” Washington, best friend and cousin Dustin Carter, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held in William’s honor on 5:00 PM Sunday, September 8th at the Woman’s Club located at 403 Magnolia Street in New Smyrna Beach FL at the South Causeway overpass. Although we are all at a great loss of our beloved William we know he’s smiling down on us saying “Don’t cry for me, smile and have fun for me, my time is my time, IT IS WHAT IT IS.”

I am so sorry for your loss. No parent should ever have to lose a child. Our loving Creator knows how hard this is on you. We are told at Ezekiel 18:32 “‘for I do not take any delight in the death of someone dying, is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.” As you can see, He does not like death anymore than we do. It is not his will for us to die which is why He has given us the hope of everlasting life! (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Rev. 21:3, 4). As the God and Father of tender mercies, He wants you to find comfort in Him through prayer (2Cor 1:3
