Daddy, I remember the snowball fight on Lakeshore Drive, the Christmas morning smiles, the trips to the fruit stand for boiled peanuts and peaches. I remember you teaching me how to fish. I wish you would have walked me and your Tammy down the aisle. Tammy's a widow now. I'm glad you met most of your Grandchildren at least once. I wish all the promises were kept. I wish things could have been different and we were all more important in your life. I loved you, Daddy and I've missed you since you left in 1977 when I was 11. I wish your children were told you were sick. I wish we could have been by your side. All 3 of us, me, your daughter, Tammy Holcomb Whitehead and your son, Randal Ashley Holcomb have done well for ourselves and your Grandchildren, Lace Larrabee, Lauren Larrabee, Caleb Whitehead, and Tanner Holcomb are wonderful people and should have known you better. Your oldest daughter, Ginger Holcomb Larrabee

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight that ripens grain; I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die.
We will miss you my friend. Thank you for mentoring my son and being there for him. You will always be in our hearts. Look down on us now and then and remember how you were loved.
