Obituary

William Leonard Hilyard, Sr (73) passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Teresa and sisters Micki and Jeanie. Left behind are his three children and several grandchildren. Son, William Hilyard II (Heather) and their children Sammie and Billy. Son, Jeffery Thayer Hilyard (Dana) and their children Dakota, Kayleigh, Bryce, Cadence, Jade, Emily, and Gracie. Daughter, Jennifer Malena Lewis (Brian) and their children Joe, Mitchell, Shapel, Lacy, Bryanna and Rily. He also leaves behind several great grandchildren. William spent his days camping, fishing, walking and just enjoying the great outdoors. He served four years in the Navy during the Vietnam War.  After his service, he worked in the security industry for most of his working life. He also committed time as a volunteer firefighter. William and Teresa moved to Florida upon their retirement where he spent some time working at Sam Galloway Ford. He will be missed dearly. Dad, enjoy your time with Mom in heaven until we can all be together again. We love you to the moon and back.
