William Wayne Mikell, age 82, died of a heart attack on September 28, 2021, in Wildwood, Florida. Wayne is survived by his wife, June Mikell; two sons, Lee Mikell (Alasha) and Stephen Mikell (Meredith); five grandchildren, Dennis Mikell, Stephen Mikell, Jr., Morgan Mikell, Savannah Mikell, and Jack Mikell; one sister, Cynthia Mikell Getford; and one niece, Cindy Anne Fuquay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Balsy Mikell, of Jacksonville.

After high school graduation, Wayne entered banking and remained in that industry until his retirement in 2000.

Wayne moved to Belle Glade, FL in September 1963, to accept a position with the Bank of Belle and remained with the bank until his retirement on September 30, 2000.

In honor of Wayne’s wishes no service will be held.

    June, Lee and Stephen. I just heard that Wayne had passed and was very saddened. He was such a great boss and taught me all about banking . My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

    I will miss getting my call at Christmas from Wayne and catching up on
    Family. I know tho there is no more suffer for him he is a whole man again
    And with his Mom & Dad an all relatives an friends that has gone on before him. Love an prayers to June an the family.
