On June 25, 2013, Wilma Irene Moore of New Smyrna Beach, formerly of Hamburg, NY went to be with her Lord at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her parents Cecil and Abigail Mizer, brothers, Oliver Mizer and Gordon Mizer and sister, Juanita Freed. She is survived by her husband, John E. Moore of 69 years of marriage; sister, Kathryn Wrinkle of Lebanon, MO and by her children, Wesley (Ruth) Moore of Bath, NY, Jim (Bonnie) Moore of North Port, FL, Kathryn (Joseph) Petrinic of Hamburg, NY, Linda (Michael) Maynard of Conklin, NY, Gretchen (Gregory) Williams of Jacksonville, FL and Vienna (Glenn) Bayley of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Also multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and John were foster parents for numerous children throughout the years. Wilma was born in Lebanon, MO on January 13, 1920 and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1937. She married John Edward Moore in Tullahoma, TN of September 11, 1943. She was the last surviving charter member of the Big Tree Wesleyan Church in Blasdell, NY where she served as Sunday School teacher, board member and Treasurer. In Florida, she attended the New Smyrna Beach First Church of the Nazarene, where she was noted for her Bible knowledge, as a prayer warrior, and her passion for Missions and the youth. She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting and made beautiful quilts and afghans. A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the New Smyrna Beach First Church of Nazarene, 201 S. Orange St. with the Reverend Hay and Reverend Michael Maynard officiating. Gathering of family and friends will begin at 10AM. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful, compassionate staff of VITAS Hospice. Exceptional care from her nurses, Kelly, Dr. Scaccia and support staff of Sharika, Henrietta, Carolyn, Mauran and Chaplin Sam.
