Winslow Frederick Carter, a Vietnam veteran, caring and loving husband has passed away to be with the Lord on September 12, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, and loving family Loretta & George Blumenauer.
My dearest husband, I have lost my love, my soul mate an best friend all at one time. I now have to put one foot in front of the other an walk the path without you. My heart is broken but I know that one day I will again be in your arms an we will never be separated again. Until then you are always in my heart. Your loving wife ,Barbara.

May Fred’s family and friends find comfort in the fact that for him the fight is over. He can rest peacefully now.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Fred. While we didn’t get to spend much time with him, we have heard only but great memories that the rest of the family had shared. Our condolences to Barbara, Loretta and George during these tough times.

So sorry for your loss Barbara, I only met Fred briefly at George and Loretta’s party at Christmas time but he seemed like a nice man. It sounds like he had a long battle with illness but is now at peace! I pray you will have the strength and endurance you’ll need during this painful time!

Fred was one of the strongest men I ever met. He loved his wife, and she helped him have more time on Earth than we thought possible. The long fight is over, and we hope Fred is in a better place.
