Busbee, Worth Worth Edward Busbee, 70, of Winter Park, Florida died Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born in Orlando, Worth lived in Birmingham, AL, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Tallahassee, FL before settling in Winter Park for the past 30 years. Worth was a decorated Air Force Veteran who served his county for two tours in Vietnam as a Chinese Linguist. Upon returning from his tour of duty, he completed his education and held a variety of management positions with the Federal Government and national corporations. Worth retired from the City of Orlando after 19 years as the Operations Manager with the Public Works Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church (Winter Park), coached youth soccer, baseball and was active in the Winter Park community. Worth was an avid golfer, fisherman, and loved the outdoors. Worth is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane Blackburn Busbee; his son, Worth Allen Busbee of Jacksonville, FL; and his sister Ann Busbee Lee of St. Simons Island, GA. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park on Friday, September 11, beginning at 3:30 PM. The family will receive visitors at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to Florida Boxer Rescue or the charity of your choice .
