    06 Feb 2021
Our family is still in shock and our hearts are filled with sorrow upon hearing this news. The Martin family would like to send our deepest condolences to Xiomara's family and especially her daughters and sons. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but we know losing the love of a mother is as devastating a loss one can endure, since there is nothing like the love of one's mother, especially a mother like Xiomara who had so much love to give. Xiomara's quiet smile, laughter, and jokes when she got to know you would lift any room she was in; also, her boundless optimism, kindness, and ability to see the positive in all situations was inspiring. She is truly irreplaceable to all who knew and loved her and I will miss her. Our family prays that God grants you all comfort in your time of sorrow and strength for the times you feel yours will fail. Xiomara loved the lord and we know that her prayers will continue to surround you now and forever more; in these times of sorrow at Xiomara's passing, our thoughts and faith turn to 1st Thessalonians 4:14-16; it states: "sorrow not, even as others have not hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.....For the Lord himself descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first". With God's word and promise, we know with blessed hope death is not the end for a life lived in Christ is everlasting.
