Obituary

We regret to inform you that Yolanda Gehring (age 70), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. She was surrounded by family and endless love during her last days.

Yolanda was fierce yet full of grace and compassion in all that she did.

Yolanda was born in Havana, Cuba and fled to the US when only 5 years old. Her family moved to NJ when she was a teenager where she eventually met the love of her life by choosing his name randomly from the pen pal list of those serving in Vietnam. Over the next 53 years, they shared a life full of adventures and family.

Yolanda began her career as a Respiratory Therapist at the Children’s Hospital of NJ and ultimately rose to Vice President of Clinical Services at Chilton Memorial. She raised two children, Joe Jr. (deceased) and Tracy and was a proud grandmother to Jacob. She also leaves behind her husband Joe Sr. and brother, Michael.

A Mass and Celebration of Life to be scheduled on a later date.
