My deep sympathy to the family. A tragic loss, not only for the family and friends but also for the community. I remember how Tom told me when Zack would get a new pair of shoes, he’d give the pair he’d outgrown to someone in need. He was being raised with good values and integrity. He’ll be missed by many. I’m picturing him in the Auto Racing section of Heaven, hanging out with Dale and the other greats of racing.

A Letter to Tish and “MeMe”

After attending dear Zack’s Celebration of Life, we were reflecting on the Zachary we knew. It wasn’t the “Racing Young Man” that seemed to be the prevalent theme at his service, it was the “little boy Zack”. The “Tish, MeMe & Zack” trio of a young boy growing up.
I don’t believe there ever could have been a more loved and adored child by his Mom and Grandma. He was not a spoiled child, just a child who knew he was deeply cared for. This is a very important part of what made him the special young man he became.
We remember the “little boy” who would do his “run” at a barrel show and go back to playing with his tractors on the side of the arena. (By the way, everyone at the Georgia shows knew those were Zacks toys & no one ever moved them). We remember Zack at about 8 yrs. old and our daughter Lexy getting their 1st Arctic Cats together at a Show we were attending in Augusta. (He did beg his Mom for a bigger one!). We remember he loved “everyone” to go out to dinner together. And if we were coming through Deland on our way back, he liked that Mexican restaurant in the shopping center by Publix.
MeMe told me her “joy in life was gone”. I do believe that to be true. Her love for her Grandson could not have been more true. The triangle is broken. I only hope you know that Zack would want you to join hands and make it a circle now. If you need more hands, we are here.
Tish, your heartbreak needs no words. Please know that your love for Zack is pure and there should be no regrets. You raised a beautiful boy. You know he would want you to move forward.

The White Rose symbolizes purity, innocence & Peace. May you have all three again.

We love you and are here if you need us. “Tish, MeMe & Zack” will always live on in our hearts.

I knew Zack since he was little. I watched him barrel race wit his mom as well as go cart racing with his dad. He was always a great kid. My condolences to Tish and Tom.

What a great pleasure is was to have known Zack if only for a few short years...Zack would come into the store almost daily and he would always have this little smile like he was up to something and he'd be wearing these crazy bright colored shoes. We were always cracking on each other, I'm really going to miss those times... Zack's parents, I'm sure, are very proud on what kind of man Zack came to be and he is going to be missed by so many....
