Obituary
Zina Moiseenko, 76 years old, passed away on June 3rd 2024 at Leesburg Hospital, Florida.
Zina was a former ballerina and danced with the New York City Metropolitan Opera. A beautiful career but very hard on the body. She brought culture and love of classics to our household and as her family we feel enlightened because of her influence.
She taught elementary school after retiring from dancing in urban schools and was personally committed to providing for the underprivileged. She often purchased clothes and food for those in need.
She was first in line to nurse our mother and brother in their time of need. She felt it was a privilege.
She suffered over the past few years with crippling arthritis but passed peacefully under Hospice care.
A memorial service was held for her at St.Andrew Antiochian Orthodox Church.
We will deeply miss this woman and always remember her tenderness and love.
She is reunited in heaven with her father: Andrei, mother: Tamara and brother: Oleg Moiseenko, sister in law: Linda Moiseenko and brother in law: Ken Counterman.
Zina is survived by her sisters, Elena Moiseenko Counterman, and Elizabeth Howard. Other surviving members of the family include: Kevin Howard, Kathryn,Trevor, Jackson, Luke ,Harper, and Caroline Reitz, Michael, Erin and Sloane Howard, Larissa, Clarke and Mckenzie Crawford, Ella Moiseenko, and Alexandra, Joshua, Parker, and Riley Kirpatrick.
