Obituary
David Gary Brown, 65, passed away peacefully on July 9th surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer. Dave was born in Oak Park, IL on December 11, 1951 to Frank & Jeanne Brown. He became a Registered Pharmacist and worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital at Hines, IL until moving to Florida in 1986 to help open the VA Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach. He retired in 2011 after 31 years of service with the VA. He was predeceased by his father Frank Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda of Port Orange, son David Brown (Ginger) of Champaign, IL, daughter Stacy Whiting (Stephen) & granddaughter Olivia of Casper WY, and Kevin Brown of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his mother Jeanne Brown of Prospect Heights, IL and siblings Pam Brown of Palatine, IL, Bill Brown (Nancy) of Naperville, IL, Judy Bolger ( & the late Gerry who also bravely battled cancer) of Park Ridge, IL, Mia Labbe (Bob) of Chicago, IL and Nancy Tomazin (Dr. Larry) of Westmont, IL. Dave will always be remembered for his kindness, devotion to his family and great sense of humor. Special thanks to Dr. George Bernardo, Dr. Paul Dodd, Nurse on Call Home Health and VITAS Hospice for their care and compassion.
