Obituary

Roy C. Metts, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Ocklawaha, FL on April 13, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Frankfort, KY on March 28, 1926 to Claude & Lona Metts. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Roy relocated to FL in 1964. He was a member of Central Baptist Church for 45 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, a sister, two daughters and a grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlotte “Pat” Metts; sons, Randy & Tommy Metts of KY, Scott Mallory of FL; daughters Judy Hutcherson & Mary Yanez (Mario) of KY, Julie Bolduc (Jerry), Andrea Mallory (David), Susan Lawrence (Daniel) all of FL, and Angel Inman of NJ; 26 grandchildren & 42 great grandchildren; also by a brother Billy Metts (Brenda) of KY, a sister Betty Cline of FL and sister in law Jean Horne of FL.  Family will receive friends at 10am on Tuesday April 18th at Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations (954 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 236-5884) from 10-11AM  immediately followed by a graveside service at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens (5050 SW 20th Street Ocala, FL).
