My husband and I recently made end-of-life pre-arrangements with Tom Hoffman from Baldwin Brothers. Tom was not only very professional and knowledgeable but also caring and considerate. He took ample time to listen to our particular needs and desires and then helped us find a plan that was right for us. We trust that our end-of-life arrangements are in good hands.

After attending a presentation by Tom Hoffman about Baldwin Brothers funerals and cremations I decided it was time to have this part of my estate settled and off my mind. I set up a home visit with Tom who was kind, thoughtful, very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. Tom listened, asked questions, answered all my questions, worked out a payment plan and made sure I understood and had access to all the forms I needed before the appointment was over. Now there is just one phone call my family needs to make......thanks Tom....you made this so easy!

A death of a loved one is hard, even when you know it's coming. This was the first funeral I had to plan from start to finish. I was concerned as I had no idea about all the little things you need to worry about....WELL THANK GOODNESS FOR MILLIE!!! ( The Funeral Director) A very calm cool and collected individual. She kept us focused at the tasks at hand with a gentleness that made her feel like an old family friend. When we walked in for the consultation, we did not sit around waiting. After a brief talk and the phone previously, Millie was ready for us will all the paperwork was pre-filled out (for the most part) so it was just as simple as read and sign. Millie has years of experience and it shows. My situation included some non-traditional requests like taking the deceased back home out of the country for their final resting place, Millie had us covered with all documantation needed for international travel. Millie explained everything very thoroughly but yet expideicadly. We had very few questions but when we had one we were not made to feel like it was a bother. Millie was very patient and again...like an old family friend.

I know some of you might have negative thoughts about a funeral home in a shopping plaza. I know I did until I walked in the front door. The atmosphere is very warm & home like, tranquil even. There is a sitting area with comfy chairs, couches, and tables (all those tables were great for setting up TONS of pictures around the room of your loved one who has passed.) The room gave off the good vibe of sitting around in your own living room at home. Over in the corner in an open floor plan concept was a fairly large kitchenette with tons of counter top space, a sink with running water & a full size refrigerator that we were allowed to utilized, which we did by providing drinks and refreshments following the service.
The main room that is used for your viewing, was kept simple with rows of chairs, simple understated artwork and the day of with the addition of flowers from family and friends, it was perfect. Sometimes it's the simple things, for example Millie sets out a full box of tissues ever few seats or so, its those special touches that have a big impact.
During the consultation we were escorted into a private room. Where there were some items on the wall. For example Urn samples, keep sakes like turning hair into a type of gemstone, a finger print keepsake and more. Very tastefully displayed and NEVER did we feel any pressure to buy any of the upgrade items. One of the topics I was not thinking of was FLOWERS. Although it's not a requirement, fresh flowers just adds a certain touch of class and elegance to the vibe and Millie has you covered here too. The flower shop that is recommended is a few doors down in the SAME PLAZA. There was no delivery or set up free and we even received a discount because we were sent by Millie. The prices before any discounts were comparable in styles and price with the exception that everywhere else seem to charge some type service fee. And to top it off their were almost twice as many flowers in what we ordered compaired to how many were supposed to be in the display according to the catalog. And again I was told this free upgrade was due to being a client of Millie’s.
The last item I would just like to touch on is their digital services. It's a digital obituary, visitor guest book, a place where you can light digital candle in remembrance, send an e-card. Or simply share your favorite picture and memory on the tribute wall. It's wax a very special touch that made it possible for those who could not attend to participate.

I can not say enough good things about Millie. Except this:
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND WITH ALL MY HEART BALDWIN BROTHERS ORLANDO LOCATION FOR YOUR FAMILY'S NEEDS. BY DOING SO YOU TOO CAN BENEFIT FROM MILLIES EXPERIENCE AND CALM AND SYMPATHETIC DEMINOR..WHO COULDRNT USE AN "OLD FRIEND OF THE FAMILY" AT A TIME LIKE THIS.

No one ever wants to make the call. Our family has twice in the last year. Tom Hoffman was the voice on the other side of the line. He made the planning seamless. We knew what we desired and needed. He respected our wishes. No hard sales. He listened and then all was accomplished over the phone. Took minutes. So grateful. The services after, again, were seamless. All was taken care of. For what has been such an unpleasant task in the past, Tom instead made sure we were heard and supported.
