Howard G Virgin of Edgewater passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born on December 23, 1921 in Revere, Massachusetts to George H and Carmen Virgin. He invented the Virgin Heat Saver in the 1970's through out New England and redesigned solar panels. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Howard also enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He proudly served in the Army in WWII and in the Air Force in Korea. He retired in Maine in the early 80's and moved to Florida for the winters. Howard was a member of the Democratic Club. He is survived by his sons Micheal and David Virgin; daughters Melissa King, Gayle Virgin and Ann Virgin; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister Eleanor Abbott. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Prudence Virgin; brother Charlie and sister Dottie.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
