Obituary

Fred Angelo Rocco D’Elia, 92, of Edgewater, FL, formerly of Arlington and Sterling, VA was born in Washington, DC August 18, 1919 . Beloved husband of 70 years to Martha (nee Henderson), loved father of Elizabeth Angela (Ron) of Ophelia, VA, James Frederick of North Canton, OH, Norma Jeanne (William) of North Canton, OH and David Anthony(Karen) of Fairfax, VA. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Michael, Thomas, Scott, Sharon, Brian, Daniel, Joanna and dear great grandfather of Sierra, Eden, and Sofia. Treasured brother of Marie Genovese and the late Antoinete Ghilardi. Funeral service will be 10 AM Friday at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM. Committal will be at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Fred’s memory to St Joseph’s Care Center 2308 Reno Drive Louisville OH 44641 on behalf of Martha D’Elia where his beloved wife resides.

    Martha, Betty, Norma, Jim and Dave... Our most sincere condolances to you all on the passing of your Husband and your Dad. Sorry we couldn't be with you at this time but be assurred that our prayers are with you. Paul will remember Fred in his Mass on Friday morning and our Pastor Fr Kevin Smith will do the same here in Oyster Bay. May he Rest in Peace.
