Kathleen Anne Schumacher of Orlando, FL, died peacefully at home following a courageous battle with cancer on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2016. She was surrounded by her family. Kathleen, best known as Kathy, Freak-Toes, Freak-Toes-Larue , Toes, Crazy Single Cat Woman or Mama – depending on your relationship with her – was inspirational at home, at work and at play.
Her family cherished her loving and generous spirit.

Following her departure from this organization, Kathy joined the Florida Department of Environmental Protection working as an administrative assistant.

Sadly, Kathy was predeceased by her brother Lawrence (Larry) Schumacher of Ocoee, Florida.
In addition to her siblings, Kathy has many loved uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Kathy was raised in a strong Catholic family and has maintained a strong Christian faith.

Never read your obituary until today 3/26/17. Very difficult, but to read all the Tributes to you made it somewhat easier. You were SO loved by not only our close knit family, but all your many friends and colleagues.
The crystal kitty that you handed to me shortly before you passed away sits on shelf above kitchen sink in addition to a crystal owl Michael gave me. Unfortunately, you passed before you were able to put the crystal squirrel into my hand. Michael will do that in your honor soon. Know how you loved the crystals and will cherish and care for them always.
You must be there in Heaven being SO proud of Michael. He's back in college and doing so well. I was very afraid he would fall apart after losing you. He's such a smart and strong young man!
Miss you terribly, but know you're in a better place and not suffering any longer. God Bless You Kath!
When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know.
Your spirit of joy will be deeply missed.
