Obituary
James (Jim) L. Horst, Jr, 58 of Inverness, passed away on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. Jim was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on October 22, 1958. He moved with his family to Inverness in 1974. He worked as a master mechanic and transmission specialist for over 40 years. Jim was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends jet skiing, swimming, picnicking, and camping or just having fun. Over the past few years some of his favorite times were spent with his grandsons, having fun at the park, playing in the yard or just spending quality time with them.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years Tracy (Bennett) Horst. They were married on April 20, 1985. He is also lovingly remembered by his daughter Danielle Horst, son Jeremy Horst and his wife Stephanie, three grandsons; Trenton Rice, Kason Rice, and Ryder Horst, two sisters, Carolyn Horst, Marilyn Rowe and her husband John, and brother Robert Horst and his wife Janet, two nephews, Chad Rowe and his wife Autumn, Joshua Rowe, and one great nephew Chad Rowe, Jr. He is now reunited with his parents James L. Horst, Sr. and Betty M. (Shannon) Horst.
