Robert “Bob” Arthur Pralle Jr. of Ormond Beach was born in Queens, New York on June 22, 1955 to the late Robert and Janet McCarthy Pralle. Bob lived a rich and meaningful life before passing away peacefully amid a sea of loved ones and prayer on April 5, 2017. He was sixty-one years old. Bob loved snow skiing and his Harley, Facebook and his cat Nester, gambling and God, but above all, his family. As a young man, Bob moved from California to Florida, where he ultimately established himself as a leader in the construction field. The well-respected custom home builder began his esteemed career in Volusia County over forty years ago with his uncles Doug and Jack McCarthy of McCarthy Builders. Ultimately Bob branched off to form Pralle Builders, where he was known for his detail-oriented craftsmanship and keen eye for design. When he wasn’t on the job site, you were likely to catch him racing by in a sports car, on his motorcycle or possibly by boat. Although his life was cut far too short, his family takes comfort in the fact that he lived it fully and passionately. After being diagnosed with cancer and given six months to live, Bob fought a courageous three-year battle with the disease, during which time he embraced good food and good friends, and renewed his purpose on earth. Bob spent not just his last days but his last years surrounded by family—his first priority always—doing the things he loved to do. He proudly added a dock to his waterfront home, believing correctly that if he built it, they would come; his friends and family will be forever grateful for the memories created there. Bob is survived by his daughter Christine O’Reilly; son Jeff Pralle (Jennifer); their mother Cindy Foote; stepson Casey Rousch; grandsons James and Cooper; sister Laurel Swann; brothers Glenn and Russell Pralle; aunt and uncle Linda and Jack McCarthy; nieces Kristin Swann Haller, Brittany Pralle and Megan Pralle, and nephew Dustin Swann. Words cannot express how profoundly he touched so many lives or how deeply he will be missed. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11 AM at the Salty Church, 221 Vining Court, Ormond Beach, FL. Memorials may be sent to Cancerresearch.org or to Hospice of Volusia County. The family wishes to thank Bob’s generous circle of friends for their faithful, loving support.
This is not the end only the new beginning .
I will see you again bet your sweet ......
Love Always

Such a kind, gentle, devilish guy. I have so many great memories of working with you, and then for you. We had great times and were always there for each other. I will miss you so much!
to me.
I met them at Little Grandma's house first meeting Doug at the bowling alley; our local hang out after school. Doug asked his brother Jack if he wanted to meet me, "a guinea girl with long legs"? Jack and I have been inseparable ever since! My strongest wish was to adopt both children as they were so dear to my heart and have remained there ever since. Bob has indeed matured well. Everyone will say that he was full of hell and had an attitude that could anger the best of us until he realized that he was no longer invincible! You could observe him across a room at Lauri's home absorbing ever pair of eyes and everyone's smiles and mannerisms to last him his eternity!! He took a part of all of his loved ones with him and left us with his beautiful eyes, long sexy eyelashes and an abundance of everlasting love. See you in my next life Bob. It was my pleasure to be a part of your dash 1955-2017.
after his long battle. We understand and share the pain that those of you who were close to him and loved a special man are feeling. Keep him close.
