Obituary
Diane Qualantone slipped into the loving arms of our Lord on May 2, 2017 at the age of 76 in Edgewater Florida. Born in Duluth Minnesota, Diane and her family moved to Florida in 1978 from Alsip Illinois. Before retirement, she worked at Ocean View Nursing Home in New Smyrna Beach for 16 years. She was a member of the New Smyrna Beach Parrot Heads Club and love to attend Parrot Heads conventions in Panama City and Key West. She was also a member of the Edgewater Eagles #4242, where she loved to dance and socialize with her closest friends. Diane’s favorite moments were those spent with her family and friends. One of her favorite adventures was the “Thelma and Lousie” road trip with her best friend, Linda Masser Malinowski. She was always on the run and continued to dream of beach parties and Key West in her final days. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Darlene Jensen of Mokena IL, brother Milton Jensen of Wilmington IL, children; Alan Flassig and wife Ann, Susan Flassig, Cindy Portigo, and Clifford Flassig, grandchildren; Corey Davis, Matthew Flassig, Lindsey Flassig, Tanner Portigo, and Natasha Whalen and husband William, great-granddaughter Alison Whalen, many extended family members, friends, and honorary children and grandchildren. Services will be held at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 620 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange, FL 32127 on Saturday, May 13, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to VITAS Healthcare (Hospice) 114 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
